Perinatal Bodywork
Perinatal bodywork is equally geared for a mother to re-center herself and to connect with her child. It is at the mother's center, her belly, where two lives begin.

Perinatal bodywork includes prenatal, labor support and postnatal massage. Swedish massage, shiatsu, myofascial and stretching techniques are blended to help women return to a place of comfort. Pre/Postnatal massages are given on a table using cushions. Women are positioned on their sides and in a semi-reclined position at various points during the session. Posture, breathing, sleep and labor positions and partner assistance may also be discussed.

Perinatal massage reduces stress, increases relaxation, reduces pregnancy-induced swelling, increases circulation, relieves muscle tension, helps prepare for birth, contributes to shorter labor, improves infant well-being, fosters connection between mother and child and facilitates postpartum recovery.

Pre and Perinatal massage is not intended to replace appropriate medical and prenatal care.

Infant Massage Instruction
Infant massage is a beautiful way to connect with and care for your newborn. Best when started at 0 to 6 months of age, infant massage incorporates various massage techniques and stretches to share with your baby. Both parent and child enjoy increased bonding, decreased stress levels, shared quality time and familiarity with one another's cues.

One-on-one sessions and group classes include information about benefits (such as relief from colic, gas and sleeplessness), techniques and how to create the right environment for both you and your newborn.

There are currently no classes scheduled.

Therapeutic Swedish Massage
In Therapeutic Swedish massage a woman can re-center through relaxation, relief of muscle tension, release of toxins and time devoted intentionally to herself. These sessions are done on a table using oil or cream. Stretching, strengthening, breathing and posture may be discussed.

Therapeutic Swedish massage relieves muscle tension, restores range of motion, increases circulation, assists lymphatic flow, promotes relaxation and reduces stress.
