WORKSHOPS FOR TWEENS AND TEENS
The youth of our world will continue a movement to nourish, love, and celebrate themselves, each other and our earth by caring for their bodies, minds, hearts and spirits.
Self Care begins with listening to and honoring oneself.
-
How do you listen to the messages that your body sends you?
-
How do your body’s messages connect to your heart, mind and spirit?
-
What tools are you gathering along your way?
-
Which ones serve you and help you feel your best?
-
How will you explore what helps you feel most YOU?
Why Self Care?
Self care workshops are an opportunity for tweens and teens to explore their ability to nurture and care for their well-being, growth and one another. Within a community, they will explore different practices based in movement, art, massage, aromatherapy, meditation and more to design their own a self-care practice.
Goals to Consider
1. To learn different ways to care deeply for oneself
2. To appreciate the body and all that it does
3. To listen for and connect with messages between body and heart
4. To witness and be witnessed in a supportive community
5. To take away at least one practice and make it one’s own

-
Classes are typically two hours

We begin with a candle lighting and intention setting in circle followed by warm-up (stretch/movement/check-in with the body)
-
The circle opens for anyone to lead if they desire
-
Each session includes learning a supportive practice such as aromatherapy, tapping, learning pressure points, etc.
-
Following, we explore how to care for an area of the body (belly, feet, legs, arms, chest, neck, head) with supportive massage
-
We conclude with a reflective practice, such as a body scan or mindfulness
-
Participants may receive a bit of massage on their feet/head/face while in resting pose
